Driftrock is hiring an Elixir Software Engineer to join our product team and help build the marketing technology powering vehicle sales for some of the world's biggest car brands.

We're a fully remote team of 35, including 8 engineers. Our product runs on Elixir, Phoenix LiveView, PostgreSQL and RabbitMQ, and we're working on lead qualification, our Single Customer View and scaling our event-driven architecture as our customer base and data volumes grow.

What you'll do
Build and ship production features in Elixir and Phoenix LiveView.
Write well-tested, maintainable code using TDD, pairing and code reviews.
Work across APIs, RabbitMQ and our event-driven architecture.
Use data and observability to understand how your work performs in production.
Contribute to technical and product decisions.
Take increasing ownership as you grow, with a path towards senior.

What we're looking for
We're looking for an engineer with solid CS fundamentals and professional backend experience. Elixir experience is welcome but not essential — we're particularly interested in people with experience in Elixir or similar languages and a genuine interest in functional programming.

You'll ideally have:
Strong CS fundamentals or equivalent practical experience.
Professional backend engineering experience.
Experience building for the web.
An interest in testing, TDD and maintainable code.
The ability to work independently and figure things out for yourself.
A genuine appetite for learning and improving your craft.
Good judgement when using AI-assisted development tools.
Bonus: Elixir/Erlang/OTP, Phoenix/LiveView, Ruby or another functional language, RabbitMQ, PostgreSQL, Redis, Kubernetes or GCP.

Why Driftrock?
We work with brands including BMW, BYD, Mercedes-Benz and Volvo, and our technology enables billions of euros in vehicle sales every year. We're building technology at the intersection of marketing, data and the transition to electric vehicles.

Cheerful Monster is a London development studio building AI systems for healthcare, government and other regulated environments. We're hiring a senior product engineer to work in a small pod directly with clients, taking work from early ambiguity through design, implementation and deployment to production outcomes.

Core stack: Elixir, Phoenix, LiveView, Ash. Oban, Broadway, distributed systems, data engineering, Python experience are useful extras.

AI coding agents are part of the normal development environment here: exploring codebases, planning, implementing features, generating tests, reviewing changes. You decide what to build yourself and what to delegate, and you are accountable for what ships.

We're looking for substantial production experience with Elixir and Phoenix, a strong grasp of OTP and relational data modelling, the ability to spot generated code that compiles but is wrong, product judgement, comfort working directly with clients, and clear technical writing. You can already be an AI-native developer, or a senior engineer with strong fundamentals ready to retool.

The role is also part of Bonfire, our programme for building AI-native capability through real client work and close mentorship, and you'll help set the engineering practices future Bonfire teams inherit. See more at our website.

Govra builds the operating system modern governments run on. We turn dense statutes and tangled rules into executable workflows, embedding intelligence directly into the work so agencies make faster, more accurate and more consistent decisions at scale. We're starting with tax, one of the highest volumes in government, where better decisions mean more revenue, better public services and improved trust between citizens and the state. The result: government that works at the speed of the people it serves.

We are seeking a Senior or Staff Software Engineer to help build and scale Govra’s intelligent operating system for governments. You will work closely with the founders, customers and product design teams to ship vital real systems in a fast-moving, high-impact environment. This role is ideal for someone who can go deep technically, think from first principles about product and UX, and move quickly from customer workflows to production code.
